The diagnosis of migraine is based on the history. According to diagnostic criteria established by the International Headache Society, patients must have had at least 5 headache attacks that lasted 4-72 hours (untreated or unsuccessfully treated) and the headache must have had at least 2 of the following characteristics :

       偏头痛的诊断要依据病史。根据国际头痛协会的诊断标准，病人必须有五次头痛发作，每次持续4-72小时（在未治疗或治疗不成功的情况下），并且头痛必须有以下特征中的至少两条：

• Unilateral location 单侧
• Pulsating quality 搏动性

       In addition, during the headache the patient must have had at least 1 of the following:

       Finally, these features must not be attributable to another disorder.

       The International Headache Society defines aura as reversible focal neurologic symptoms that usually develop gradually over 5-20 minutes and last for less than 60 minutes. Headache with the features of migraine without aura usually follows the aura symptoms. Less commonly, the headache lacks migrainous features or is completely absent.

       国际头痛协会定义先兆为可能的局灶性神经症状，这些症状通常在5-20分钟内逐步发病，并且持续不超过60分钟。具有无先兆偏头痛的特性的头痛会在先兆症状之后发生。更少见的情况是，头痛缺乏一些偏头痛特征甚至完全没有这些特征。
